News and elections in country context
Global Politics now includes a Political news view and map layers for political reporting, election coverage and legislative developments. Country and topic filters, original-source links, dates and evidence details help connect the map to the underlying reports. Map markers are country-context references, not precise event locations.
All 250 existing jurisdictions are selectable. Actual reporting varies by language, publisher and country; unmatched reports remain in the global list and country coverage gaps remain visible. Scheduled collection checks reviewed public feeds approximately every five minutes.
Bills and legislation with clear source status
The Bills & legislation view separates official parliamentary metadata from news-reported legal developments. Filters distinguish proposed or introduced measures, reported or chamber passage, enactment and publication, reported repeal, and closed or stalled proposals.
Eight initial official adapters cover the UK, Canada, United States, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark and Brazil. These are bounded source selections, not complete national or subnational archives. Other jurisdictions have explicit structured-source gaps. Official feeds refresh every 30–60 minutes; source publication dates, collection clocks and effective dates keep their separate meanings.
News-reported stages are automated classifications, and reported repeal is not an authoritative repealed-law register. Chamber passage does not itself establish enactment, and a published law does not prove current legal force.
Alerts and MCP access
Create alert carries the selected country, topic, stage and source filters into the existing Alert Center. Review the draft and choose delivery options before saving. Alerts watch increases in newly discovered or revised source-record sequences; the first observation establishes a baseline. Monitoring runs while Watchtower is visible and account access is verified, and pauses during replay or lost access.
MCP discovery now includes political-news and legislation datasets with records, country coverage, map projections, source details and change-ledger views. The existing public Bank CDS reference has also been added to discovery. Native source snapshots and MCP pagination remain distinct, with source dates and coverage retained.
