Financial evidence and licensed credit add-ons
Method version: corporate-financial-evidence-v2 / licensed-credit-addons-v1. Updated 21 October 2026.
Corporate financial periods
Companies & Commodities → company detail → Open Corporate Credit Dossier shows financial reporting periods, source filing dates, definitions and missing-data reasons. Standard US-GAAP monetary facts use USD and periodic 10-K, 10-Q, 20-F or 40-F filings, including amendments. The latest accounting period takes precedence over the date on which a historical comparison was refiled. Proxy statements do not override current financial statements.
The balance-sheet anchor uses the latest eligible assets observation. Income and cash-flow observations end on that anchor date. Interim income uses a reported quarter where available; annual filings prefer the annual period. Cash flow retains its own reported annual or year-to-date duration. These are not silently annualised or labelled trailing-twelve-month values. Reporting-period, duration, currency and filing identity must match for a ratio. Conflicting latest-filing facts remain unavailable.
Borrowings, cash and leases
A debt aggregate requires a source-reported aggregate or a compatible, non-overlapping set of components. A lone current portion is not total debt. Parent totals are not added to their children; commercial paper is not added again when a short-term-borrowings total is used. Derived values include component provenance. Custom issuer tags require reviewed mappings; missing components remain unknown.
Cash and equivalents are separate from cash including restricted balances. Finance and operating leases retain separate observations; lease obligations are not added twice to an inclusive borrowing total. The displayed borrowing definition is not a universal covenant-adjusted debt measure. Cash-flow less cash PPE expenditure is an explicitly qualified derived measure, excluding non-cash financing and other investment obligations.
Missingness, freshness and scores
Zero and missing are different. Zero numerators are retained; unavailable inputs and zero/nonpositive denominators withhold the affected ratio. Financial periods older than the documented 190-day freshness limit remain visible with their original clocks but do not enter scored ratios. Incomplete required financial ratios withhold the aggregate open credit and CDS-proxy scores. Component heuristics are qualified context, not agency ratings, default probabilities or predictive confidence. A model proxy is never presented as an observed CDS spread, and a synthetic basis-point conversion is not supplied.
Economic calendar states
A blank or missing actual is pending, even if consensus and previous values exist. Pending, nonnumeric and benchmark-unavailable observations have no numeric surprise; a genuine numeric zero can be a release. Only comparable released observations produce an in-line/above/below comparison. Claimant-count increases are treated as labour weakness rather than generic macro upside. Source date and reference period remain separate.
Licensed credit and bond connections
Open Account → API Connections & Add-ons and filter “Credit Ratings & Bond Data”. Contract setup is available for Moody’s, S&P Ratings/Market Intelligence, S&P/Markit Credit, Fitch, Bloomberg, LSEG/Refinitiv and ICE.
- Obtain a provider product/license specifying its API delivery, authentication and permitted uses.
- Save the product ID, contract reference, operator-reviewed delivery-profile ID, private-display use and expiry. Setup alone makes no provider request and contains no credentials.
- Have the product’s exact fixed endpoint and response schema reviewed and installed. The shipped registry has no active vendor profiles.
- Once the profile and contract are approved, save the matching API key, bearer token, OAuth client credentials or username/password through the encrypted per-account connection form.
- “Check setup” validates local readiness only. An explicit licensed-evidence request in company detail performs the actual provider authentication/entitlement check.
States distinguish not configured, incomplete setup, missing profile, entitlement required, expired license/profile, credentials required and ready to request. No provider subscription, live entitlement or data coverage is implied by a saved configuration.
Private requests use operator-approved HTTPS vendor hosts and fixed schema/query mappings, bounded responses, exact requested identifiers, original source timestamps and stale flags. The existing account, entitlement, revision, request-capacity and account-change protections apply. No provider credentials or licensed observations enter shared public caches, public MCP datasets or public risk scores. This initial adapter supports owner-private display, zero server retention, and no automated/model use or redistribution. Other rights require an explicitly reviewed implementation.
Ratings and CDS meanings
Agency-specific issuer and instrument references, seniority, currency basis, original action date and source limitations remain separate. A reported reference without a withdrawal flag is not independent current-rating certification. Public CDS trade coupons, upfront payments, lifecycle corrections and capped notionals are not executable market quotes or a continuous five-year CDS curve.
Sovereign CDS source-reported probability fields retain their original value with explicit unknown horizon and recovery assumption. They are not calibrated default forecasts. Authored baseline records retain their baseline source label and stale qualification; missing spread/probability values remain null.
Qualification uses captured public SEC examples and controlled provider responses. Actual vendor activation requires the corresponding contract, approved profile and working owner credentials; no live paid-provider coverage is claimed from fixture tests.
