Build a brief by adding and moving cards

Open Pro Brief in Monitor or Investigate. Your brief is a board you can arrange.

Add real data in three steps

  1. Click + Add data.
  2. Search a name or topic. Try Apple Inc CDS, Apple Inc ratings, Blackstone Private Credit Fund, US deficits 2026, or inflation.
  3. Check the returned entity, value, source and date, then click Add to brief. On a wide desktop, you can also drag a ready result's handle onto the board.

Search covers the registered public data-point and dataset catalogues. Recognized rating, CDS, reporting and public-finance searches query those actual sources. Other matching data points and datasets offer Preview. Unavailable or empty results are shown explicitly. Search does not claim to search every field in every global database. Use a full issuer name when a short name is ambiguous: Apple Bank and Apple Inc. are different entities.

The desktop data drawer stays alongside the board so you can add several cards. On a smaller screen, Add opens a sheet and returns to the board after a successful addition. Edit changes an existing card. Common source filters are readable inputs; raw parameters, data sections and field pointers are inside Advanced options. Changed filters require a new preview before they can be added.

Arrange it like a page

Source links, form controls and selectable text keep their normal behavior. Moving or resizing a card changes its layout rather than refreshing its source. An active gesture defers the original brief's background repaint. Card data retains its original observation/publication dates and source qualifications.

Read credit data correctly

Rating cards show the exact issuer or instrument reference, agency, rating type, currency basis and original rating-action date. An old action date is not replaced with today's retrieval time. A public registry reference does not independently certify a current rating, and an issuer grade is not automatically a bond grade.

CDS cards distinguish a reported trade/disclosure spread from a market quotation. Contract coupon and upfront payments remain separate fields. Reference labels are not automatic legal-entity matches, and reporting streams can overlap. Missing ISINs, prices and dates remain missing. Fund issuer ratings are not fund performance ratings or a credit rating for every underlying holding.

Financial cards prefer the explicitly selected source year when supplied and keep original decimal values, units, multipliers, signs and estimate/projection labels. Data-point cards retain the source's primary metric definition. Source details & coverage provides the query, source clocks, definitions and native pagination.

Saving, account sync and older layouts

Up to24cards are saved under the verified account in this browser. Version1 layouts open with their order, titles, data bindings and widths preserved; the first explicit edit saves version2 dimensions under the same owner-scoped storage key. Older clients reject the new format instead of silently removing dimensions. Unknown or malformed formats remain stored until you explicitly replace them.

Research tools → Device sync → Layout can explicitly preview and transfer the board with the other display preferences. This does not automatically overwrite another device. If another browser tab changes the saved board, use Reload saved board before editing. Storage failure is labelled visit-only; export the layout if you need to retain that visit's changes.

Account changes, unverified access and replay clear the current private board view and cancel pending searches, previews and gestures. The builder uses reviewed public readers and existing access controls. It does not create alerts, execute trades, change source data or run a paid AI model.
