Follow events from the main navigation
Open Linked Events beside Social in Watchtower’s Advanced workspace. Browse a searchable feed or timeline, filter by evidence type, dataset, country context and source date, and inspect source-qualified points on a clustered world map. Reports, observations, notices, scheduled events and model outputs retain distinct labels.
Source dates, coverage and provenance
Publication, occurrence, issuance, source-snapshot and tracker-collection times are kept separate. Date-only records stay date-only, and undated evidence is not presented as newly occurring. The source inventory lists reviewed Watchtower datasets and upstream entries, including retained, unavailable, partial, reference-only and excluded derived views.
News and Social use their full retained, bounded feed snapshots rather than a first-page API sample. Other datasets use the latest available reviewed source-cache snapshots. Existing source collectors govern upstream refreshes; refreshing the tracker does not guarantee a new provider observation. Inventory presence does not mean a source is connected, current or exhaustively covered.
Inspect changes and relationships
Open a record to inspect its original source, values, dataset appearances and captured content revisions. Revisions begin when the tracker observes a record; they are not a reconstruction of its earlier history. Inactive evidence is retained for up to 90 days, with up to 48 retained revisions per record. Captured revisions also share a bounded history budget of 75,000 revisions or 192 MiB; older revisions may be removed sooner.
Connections show bounded shared-entity, headline and document associations within seven source-time days. They do not establish causation, verification or independent corroboration. Country mentions are context, not inferred event coordinates; unknown and reference/inferred positions are omitted from the map.
Keep a personal working view
Track records, add notes and save filtered views in account-scoped storage in this browser. Export or import a workspace backup, and export filtered evidence as JSON or CSV. These local tracking markers do not arm or deliver alerts, and they do not synchronize between browsers. Evidence exports are bounded to 20,000 records; narrow the selection for larger investigations.
Reload Watchtower to load the updated workspace. Linked Events requires verified Advanced access. Source availability and collection limits remain visible in the tracker.
