Global airport locations load again
A failed download had remained in Mobility Intel's older logistics cache. The airport layer now reads the existing maintained OurAirports reference used by Aviation. At verification, that catalogue contained 72,684 usable non-closed airport, airfield, heliport, seaplane and balloonport references.
The map reads the maintained catalogue locally and follows its daily replacements. Source outages and dated retained references have explicit states rather than being presented as fresh data.
Inspect airport codes and source dates
Airport details include identifiers, ICAO/GPS and IATA codes where supplied, location type, municipality and the original reference capture date. Search recognizes these fields among the currently loaded map records. When airport icons overlap, the nearest airport to the click or tap is selected.
The coverage panel distinguishes the full catalogue, matching locations in the requested viewport and the bounded number displayed. Airport-only views use the maintained catalogue without waiting for a redundant network detail request.
Explore the airport layer
Refresh Watchtower, open Mobility Intel and enable Airports in the Layers menu. Pan or zoom to the area you want to inspect, then select an airport icon.
These are source-backed reference coordinates. They do not establish current airport operations, closures or delays. Operational transport evidence and airport weather retain their own sources and timestamps; worldwide coverage remains bounded by the publisher's catalogue.
