Search directly in your brief

Pro Brief now has a Keyword / phrase box above its headlines. Enter a search and press Enter or Filter news. Clear removes the keyword; News preferences still controls topics, source types, editorial perspectives and story count. The same shared control is available in Daily Brief.

Use words, phrases and exclusions

The search is case-insensitive across headlines, summaries and source names. All search terms must match. Use quotation marks for a phrase, such as "interest rates", and a minus sign to exclude a term, such as oil -gas. Searches support up to180characters and12terms or phrases.

Filtering uses the existing retained news collection before pagination and related-story grouping. Original publication windows, source dates, available coverage and requested story limits remain visible; a keyword does not turn an old report into a new observation.

Keep your chosen view

Applied searches are saved in this browser for the current account and brief. Existing preferences continue to work, Pro and Daily choices remain separate, and the Pro Brief export retains the applied keyword. Typing alone does not submit a search; Enter or Filter applies the current choices.
