The 8 October navigation update introduced on-demand workspace assets, cacheable application scripts and visibility-aware background work. Large graphics libraries load when their views are first opened.
Pinned and recent workspaces, supported view links and saved navigation preferences make it easier to return to your research.
Keep maps usable as you move around
The follow-up map release manages browser graphics contexts across workspaces, avoids resizing hidden or lost canvases incorrectly, and rebuilds map resources after graphics recovery.
Same-account background access checks no longer clear otherwise valid map state. Account changes still clear private views. Several maps also received improved reopening, bounded retries and fallback behavior.
Desktop and mobile checks
The release was checked with desktop and mobile-sized browser workflows, repeated workspace visits and forced graphics recovery. These checks support the release; actual performance still depends on the device, browser, connection and source availability.
