Follow energy from production to the pump
Open Forecast Lab → Energy to compare source-dated crude oil, natural gas, LNG, coal, gasoline, diesel, heating oil, jet fuel, LPG and fuel-oil references. The initial release includes 225 price series, with EIA spot and US retail data, World Bank global and regional monthly benchmarks, EU country consumer prices and Germany/Luxembourg day-ahead electricity.
Search and filter by fuel or market, inspect price histories, and export the evidence. Native currencies, units, tax treatment, observation dates and collection clocks remain visible. This is global benchmark and selected regional coverage, not a complete worldwide pump-price inventory.
Separate futures from historical-data projections
Delivery-month curves sample 30 WTI, Brent, Henry Hub, RBOB gasoline and ULSD/heating-oil contracts. Each quote retains its contract identity, delivery month, source time and unit. Futures are market prices for specified delivery contracts; they are not guaranteed returns or unbiased future spot prices.
Price-history details provide fixed-method research projections where sufficient comparable history exists, with historical error ranges and a persistence benchmark. These are current-vintage historical-data calculations, not established live forecasting skill. Germany/Luxembourg also shows already-published auction prices for future delivery hours separately from historical daily averages.
Investigate production and disruption mechanisms
Energy reuses Watchtower's country production data for crude oil, natural gas, coal and uranium. Production years, native units and same-basis world shares appear beside source-linked severe and extreme weather warnings in the corresponding country. Recent energy reporting and observed USGS earthquake context support further investigation.
Country-level warning co-occurrence does not establish facility damage or lost output. News claims are not silently converted into numerical price coefficients. The supply-scenario tool lets you explicitly choose a producer, assumed local output loss and assumed net elasticity, then inspect the resulting static sensitivity. Inventories, spare capacity, shipping, sanctions, refining, demand, taxes and exchange rates can change the outcome.
Read power-station capacity and annual generation correctly
Infrastructure's 34,936 WRI power-plant reference records now retain annual generation fields. The source includes reported generation for 11,400 plants and source-model estimates for 33,138; those groups overlap and must not be added.
Plant details distinguish nameplate MW/GW from annual MWh/GWh/TWh, show reporting years and generation history, and keep estimates separate from reported output. Capacity labels appear at closer map zooms. The WRI reference is historical version 1.3.0 (2021), with generation years supplied by that release; the figures are not current live production. Missing output remains unknown.
