A connected research workspace

Deep research brings together dossier evidence, historical timelines, event and historical maps, actor profiles and relationship graphs, stated objectives, peace agreements, directed external support, humanitarian and economic series, side-by-side comparisons, conditional scenarios, recent reporting and account-private watches.

The authored library expands from 146 to 178 dossiers. Every narrative field exposes its background bibliography and editorial status, while descriptive data claims identify exact source records and reporting periods.

More dated source evidence

The initial imports include 16,633 UCDP candidate event records for January–September 2026 and 10,852 historical external-support triad-year rows for 1975–2017. UNHCR supplies 7,404 field observations across 1,234 origin-years, and World Bank inputs add 13,824 country/indicator/year slots, including missing observations. These are different and overlapping source units, not a combined conflict count.

Fifty-one source-pinned historical/cultural map snapshots span 5000 BCE–2010 CE. The original map data and licence are downloadable, and their illustrative historical status is visible.

Follow evidence through native tools

Save conflict-topic watches in My Watchtower and choose whether to enable server-evaluated private inbox updates. Exact statistical observations can be added to Pro Brief or bound to the existing source-alert editor. Research exports preserve all selected source pages, and printable packs support the browser’s Save as PDF workflow.

Keep interpretation and time explicit

Provisional event records, uncertain locations, source-coded support, alleged relationships and agreement provisions retain their qualifications. Country statistics are not automatically attributed to one war, and recent source evidence does not silently rewrite a background narrative. Conditional scenarios expose assumptions and evidence questions without inventing war probabilities or an initiating actor.

The source collector uses bounded scheduled checks and retains access failures and missing data. Recent reporting and imported 2025–2026 evidence are separately dated from the earlier narrative backgrounds.
