Open taxes and fees for the country you select

Bayes Threat · Freedom & Prosperity now includes a Taxes & fees view and a country-dossier shortcut. The original calculation controls also include Pull up taxes & fees for country. A shared directory makes 250 countries and territories selectable, including places where specific evidence remains unavailable.

The initial tax reference covers 146 jurisdictions across corporate income, personal income, VAT, capital gains, wealth, inheritance/gift and withholding categories. Each record retains its publisher review date, retrieval date and country source link. Conditional schedules are identified rather than reduced to the first number in a paragraph.

Keep tax bases, fee units and reporting years distinct

Federal and national references are labelled, Canadian consumption-tax ranges remain ranges, and absence of a US national VAT does not become a claim of zero local sales tax. Top statutory rates are not effective personal tax burdens.

The fees view includes separately dated World Bank fiscal indicators and discontinued standardized fee/cost benchmarks. The latter remain historical observations through 2019, not current charges. Selected published online registry charges for Canada and the United Kingdom retain service scope, native CAD/GBP, source modification dates and capture clocks. They are not added across unrelated services or silently converted into percentages.

Harden the country scoring calculation

The versioned fiscal component replaces the previous stacking of tax revenue, derived tax pressure and a policy composite. Repeated tax penalties in the property and business pillars are removed. Required inputs are checked before scoring, so missing information no longer acts like a favorable zero penalty.

Fixed weights are preserved when data is missing. The interface shows the range permitted by unresolved inputs rather than redistributing weight over the known subset. A complete point score is withheld until required evidence and scope are adequate. These are authored sensitivity bounds, not calibrated confidence intervals or tax bills.

Country-model news inputs now require a published source time, suppress duplicate reports across news/social, preserve identity-bearing URL parameters, and cap contribution per category. Keyword matches are contextual reporting, not verified changes in law.

Preserve evidence and historical meaning

New fiscal inputs are included in accepted Bayes replay source captures. Revised calculations have a new model version, while the exact previous structural functions and validator remain available for captured V4.2 replay. Existing global authored priors and the global pressure/scenario calculation are preserved.

The directory is worldwide; source coverage is not a complete inventory of every current national, local, sector or residency-specific tax and fee. Missing data remains unknown. At launch, comprehensive comparable current fee inputs are not established, so complete fiscal point scores are withheld rather than fabricated.
