The selection you are actually using
Ask AI now receives the applied public-finance country, year, view, series and source snapshot; the Geopolitical Outlook country, horizon and filters; and the selected official-government feed. It also recognizes an open shortage-evidence selection.
Unapplied form edits are not treated as loaded evidence. The request retains its click-time selection through same-account verification, while cancellation, owner changes, replay and detached interfaces remain guarded. Opening connection status no longer performs an unnecessary pane-resetting access refresh.
More relevant evidence for the default Analyst
Contextual Analyst now plans bounded, typed data queries before answering. Specific planned queries take priority over generic overview reads; duplicate requests are consolidated. Explicit manual source selections continue to override automatic planning.
Financial evidence keeps the selected reference year, source value, unit, multiplier and estimate/projection status together. Series-history rows retain their parent definitions. Signed fiscal balances and rounded currency display conversions are explicitly qualified.
What to expect
Refresh Watchtower, open the data view you want to inspect, and choose Ask AI. Preview Evidence remains model-free. Run AI uses the account’s existing configured connection and the existing bounded model-call budget. The interface now shows elapsed processing time.
Source-grounding and citation checks remain in place. Qualification used live public evidence, controlled model responses and isolated account tests; this is not a benchmark of unrestricted model-answer quality. Other workspaces can still provide limited context, and source or provider failures remain possible.
