Search from Advanced or Simple
Watchtower Search is available as an Advanced tab while remaining available in Simple view. Switching between the two views keeps Search available in the same workspace. Existing source access rules continue to apply.
More retained news and social evidence
Search now includes all normalized items in the bounded curated news and social snapshots already retained by Watchtower, alongside reviewed dataset snapshots, alerts, events and data points. This reuses existing collection rather than starting a separate social-platform crawl. Dataset coverage remains subject to retained snapshots, source pagination, availability and indexing bounds; it is not complete access to publisher archives or social-platform timelines.
Routing metadata is excluded from extracted record fields. Source-native event identities are qualified by dataset, and official event links retain their event classification.
Inspect the evidence behind a match
Expand a result to inspect its indexed source excerpt and follow the source link. The excerpt represents retained evidence and may differ from the current source. Compatible record-specific destinations remain available, while unsupported source-native event IDs are no longer sent to the generic event viewer.
Where a supported source record supplies valid point coordinates, Show on map opens a marked OpenStreetMap location. Publisher countries and country context are not inferred event locations; unsupported or absent geometry does not receive a fabricated map point.
Account and replay boundaries
Search results and pending requests are cleared when account access is reverified or changes. Clearing a query also invalidates late responses. Live Search is withheld during replay so current indexed evidence cannot be mistaken for a captured historical search.
